Application screenupdating in access vba

What method (action) are you using to execute your queries in the macro? I use the following Macro Options: Action: Open Query View: Datasheet Data Mode: Edit I would like to have each query saved with a different query name, so that I can modify them easily. So, I prefer Open Query action rather than Run SQL action. There may also be a way to execute a macro from VBA using the Do Cmd method, but I'm not familiar with doing that.Everyone I have talked to has advised me to avoid using macros when possible. Is there a way to automatically minimize/hide query windows or disable screen update?

Hi all, I have a macro that executes ~200 queries which modify the data, create some tables etc. This example turns off screen updating and then adds a new document. Five hundred lines of text are added to the document. If this sounds like you, then Public Sub Add Content To Sheet() Dim start Time As Double start Time = Timer Dim r As Excel. Range("A1: P30") Dim i As Long Dim repeat As Long Dim cell As Excel. Try this out: shrink your Excel workbook window to a smaller size and run the code again. Screen Updating = False Dim start Time As Double start Time = Timer Dim r As Excel. Range("A1: P30") Dim i As Long Dim repeat As Long Dim cell As Excel. Range For repeat = 1 To 30 For Each cell In r cell. Value Mod 2 = 0) Then ' if i is even, color the cell white cell. Range For repeat = 1 To 30 For Each cell In r cell.
